Austin Walk
Level: Easy
Distance: 0.5 mile round trip
This path section starts in the parking lot at the Lareau Swim hole off Rt. 100. It traverses a wetland and then runs around the border of a lovely meadow once used to graze sheep. The terminus of the path steps lightly through a riparian buffer planted by Friends of the Mad River to look out on the Mad River as runs north into Waitsfield. This is an out-and-back path.
