MRP welcomes new Board Member, David Hodgson

The Mad River Path is excited to share with the community that David Hodgson has become a Board member after serving as our Trails Manager for the past five years.

“I have enjoyed being outdoors working on and maintaining a world class recreation path network for both locals and those who visit our beautiful valley, said Hodgson. “What I will miss most about being the Trails Manager is spending so much time on our paths and interacting with the many people I meet on our paths. But becoming a Board member of the Mad River Path has been my plan for some years, so to contribute to the path in this way is the perfect next step as I dive back into my engineering career.”

Executive Director of the Mad River Path, Ross Saxton, said that he is “eager for David’s input and leadership as a Board member.” Saxton continued that “David has been an incredible Trails Manager over the years, and while I’ll miss working with him on daily path maintenance and building projects, I can’t think a better way for David to continue his dedication to the path than volunteering as a Board member.”

The Mad River Path Board of Directors are volunteers who help guide the organization from project decisions to operational procedures. The Board members also help fundraise, run events, and advocate on behalf of the organization.
